Windermere Sound is a community in Windermere Florida.

Windermere Sound is located in Southern Windermere Florida and the main entrance to the community is on the South side of Overstreet Road. The entrance is a 4-lane entrance and is plainly marked. The entrance road is Penkridge Lane. After entering Windermere Sound you will drive by a large pond and then arrive at the community pool. The community pool has an activities center with ample parking and next to it a children’s playground, tennis court and sports court.

Windermere Sound is comprised of both single-family homes and townhomes.

There are 5 ponds in this community and quite a few of the homes are water view. The community is a newer community compared to some of the communities in this area. The area is a really good area and because of that there are several new communities here. The sizes of the homes here range from 1,600 square feet to over 4,500 square feet. Some of the townhomes are over 2,400 square feet making them some of the largest townhomes in Windermere Florida.

Overstreet Road helps connect Western Windermere with Eastern Windermere Florida.

Traveling either East or West from Windermere Sound you can arrive at a Publix Supermarket within 2 miles. To the West will be Cornerstone Shopping Center and to the West will be the Lakeside Shopping Center’s Publix. Both have other stores but the Lakeside shopping center also has a gas station and a wider variety of stores than Cornerstone.

Not far from the community there are several types of recreation. Some of the best lakes in central Florida are in Windermere. Some of the best golf courses are also in this area. If you want more variety you are definitely in the right place. Universal Orlando Resort, Volcano Bay and Disney’s Magic Kingdom are just a short drive away.
