Waterleigh is a 1,400 acre community on Hickorynut Lake in Winter Garden Florida.

Waterleigh is located in Southern Winter Garden on the West side of Avalon Road and the Daniel Webster Western Beltway (429). If you are from out of the area it can be found 17.1 miles West Southwest of downtown Orlando.

Waterleigh is a D.R. Horton Community and is one of the area’s nicest.

There are several new communities in the area with good amenities and Waterleigh has separated itself with great amenities, a fantastic layout and location. Hickorynut lake is a beautiful and clear lake. It has a surface area of 417-acres which is large enough for most water sports. Beside Hickory nut lake are 11 other ponds in the community.

There are both townhomes and traditional single-family homes in Waterleigh.

The community was started in 2015 and the homes have been selling fairly quickly. There are two models of townhomes ranging in size from 1,567 to 1,816 sf.  The single-family homes range in size from 1,685 to 4,652 square feet of living space. There are at least 18 different models of single family homes in this subdivision. There is also lakefront, waterfront and a wide variety of other places for homes.

The amenities include a beach lounge area overlooking the lake, volleyball court, miniature golf course, observation docks, a dog park, a community garden, clubhouse, fitness center, a tot lot and many nature trails. Waterleigh is already a well know name in the Winter Garden area.

Many of the residents will have to commute for work or for shopping. Another strong point of a planned development is commuting is taken into consideration from the beginning of construction. Horizons West is experiencing phenomenal growth. Just 3.5 miles North there are several choices for local shopping and those choices seem to increase daily. Many more are scheduled and some of those are even closer to the neighborhood. Waterleigh will have very nice home for sale for a long time to come.
