Sunset Bay is a community in Western Windermere Florida.

Sunset Bay is a luxury non-gated community of homes most of which are lakefront homes on Lake Down. The community is located on the North side of Conroy Windermere Road on the Southern shores of beautiful Lake Down. Lake Down has a surface area of 886-acres and is a member of the Butler Chain of Lakes. From Lake Down you can access at least 10 other lakes by boat. There is a channel from Northwestern Lake Down under Maguire Rd/Main Street to Wauseon Bay and Lake Butler. There are 25 homes in this community on lakefront lots.

Most of the homes in Sunset Bay were built between 1988 and 2005.

The beauty of this area has been known about for a long time. To date including the non-lakefront homes the least expensive home to have sold in the community was $600,000. Most of the homes are very likely to bring over $1,000,000 and some much more. Although not gated this is very much a luxury home community and one of the nicest lakefront communities on Lake Down.

The location for Sunset Bay was obviously chosen because of Lake Down.

However, there are many more great things about it. Just to the West on the South side of Conroy Road you have an entrance to Isleworth. To the East less than a mile from the community is the Grove Shopping Center and The Shoppes of Windermere. Most of what you need in a day to day life you can find at these locations. Turn South on South Apopka Vineland Road and within a few miles you are at Restaurant Row in the famous Dr. Phillips Community. There are countless shops, stores, boutiques and restaurants here.
