Southern Dunes Golf club and community are located approximately 15.5 miles south of Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park. The primary entrance is on state road 27 and is very plainly marked by a large Southern Dunes sign. The street name is Southern Dunes Blvd.

Southern Dunes is a gated community of approximately 600 traditional Florida homes and 50+ townhomes.  There are several community pools evenly dispersed throughout the community and of course tennis courts which are located by the Southern Dunes condominiums. The homes in this community were built over a period of years which is normal when consider the number of homes. Construction began in 1993 and was mostly completed by 2005. There are a wide variety of homes available. The traditional homes vary in size from 1,085 square feet to 3,826 square feet. The largest homes have 6 bedrooms and 5 full baths. The townhomes vary in size from approximately 1,100 to 1,700 square feet of living area. The condos are from approximately 845 to 1,153 square feet of living area.

One of the best things about this community other than the course is the proximity to most of what you need. There are several supermarkets, shops, service providers and restaurants within a couple of miles of the entrance. State Road 27 can have you to Interstate-4 in 10 minutes and you can be on your way to Disney, Universal Orlando Resort or downtown Orlando. You can be at Disney’s magic Kingdom or Universals Orlando Resort in 30-35 minutes on an average day.
