Bay Lakes is a large non-gated community located on West of South Apopka Vineland Rd. and Southeast of Lake Tibet. The neighborhood has two large ponds in the center of it and most of the subdivision is encircled by Granada Blvd. There are two subdivisions here that are inter-mingled, Bay Lakes and Bay Lakes at Granada.

Most of the homes in Bay Lakes were built between 1979 and 1985. This is a community for people who enjoy a quiet lifestyle and a walk to the community park. The Park is in the center of the two large ponds and has quite a bit to offer. There is a children’s playground, two tennis courts, a full basketball court, a pier on each pond and even a sand beach. This is a really big park with a lot of shade trees and beautiful water view.

The homes in Bay Lakes range in size from 1,533 to 3,012 square feet of living space.

Those calculations do not include garages. In the last 5 years 71 homes have sold that is 14 per year which is about average for a community this size. This is a good community for people who wish to live in a decent home in Dr. Phillips but want to actually live in a community and not in a busy city. You can easily venture back into the city by crossing South Apopka Vineland Road onto Sand Lake Rd. You are instantly back into the heart of Dr. Phillips.

Bay Lakes is located very close to everything you should ever need.

There is a Publix, shops, stores and restaurants on Sand Lake Road right outside of the community. When you have company come and visit Universals' Orlando Resort is right around the Corner and so is Volcano Bay. Not to mention the best lakes in Florida. Bay Lakes may be the right place for you.
