Chaine Du Lac is a very exclusive and gated luxury community on the Northwest shore of Lake Butler. Chaine Du Lac has only 2 entrance gates both on Lake Butler Blvd. As you drive down Lake Butler Blvd you can easily drive right by the entrance to this community and not notice them. Those who have seen inside of Chaine Du Lac know that some of the nicest most luxurious homes on Lake Butler sit inside of the gated entrances to Chaine Du Lac.
Other than a couple of homes built in the 1950’s the majority of the homes currently in Chaine Du Lac were constructed between the mid 1990’s and 2010. The homes I mentioned that were built in the 1950’s have sold for prices ranging from $1,400,000 to $3,200,000.
Lake Butler has been a well-known highly esteemed lake for quite some time. Famous people have secretly lived or visited here for over a century. Clarke Gable was one of the first Celebrities to habitually visit the lakes in this area back in the early 1900’s. Lake Butler not only is clean and beautiful but it has a surface area of 1,579 acres and is the namesake of the Butler Chaine of Lakes. You can take a boat via canal from Lake Butler to 10 other lakes. Hence the name The Butler Chaine of Lakes.
Chaine Du Lac has several luxury neighborhoods nearby that do not have lakefront lots. The reason is the location. It is very easy to commute from this community to local necessities at the Winter Garden Village, downtown Orlando Fl. via the Daniel Webster Turnpike just a few miles away or any one of the famous golf courses in this area.
Finding a home on Lake Butler puts you in the same category as a very elite group of celebrities. The Southern side of Lake Butler has lakefront homes in the prestigious Isleworth and Lake Butler Sound communities. To their North is Chaine Du Lac, an exclusive community of homes on one of the nicest lakes in America.
