Deer Island is a community in Winter Garden Florida.

The Deer Island community is located just South of the Florida Turnpike and West Colonial Drive on the far Northwest side of Winter Garden.

This luxury community is an Island that dominates Northern Johns’ Lake. Johns Lake is a lake with a surface area of 2,439-acres. Or nearly 4 square miles. Johns Lake is located one-mile South of Lake Apopka.

The number of residents that get to call Deer Island their homes is very small.

This is a very desirable community on a beautiful lake. One of the oldest homes in the Deer Island community was built in the early 1900’s although most were built between 1985 and 2010. The median size home is 4,200 square feet and the homes range in size all of the way up to nearly 12,000 square feet. There are 80 Lakefront lots and 40 interior lots. The large pond in the center is owned by the Deer Island home owner’s association. The entrance to this community no doubt goes un noticed to many who pass by it. The gate is located a short distance off of the road but is very attractive and classy and so is the community.

Regardless of the fact you will love your new home on Deer Island sooner or later you will want to venture out from it. Johns Lake is one of many beautiful lakes in this area. Because of the superior location many businesses and service providers have locations near here. Within 4 miles either East or West and you will arrive at any store you should ever need. If further travels are desired access to The Florida Turnpike is less than one mile away.
